One of the best Top Gears for me was the Old v New a few years ago.

MKI Escort, Audi Quattro, GT40 agains the modern stuff..........

I have to watch wheeler dealers too, for a more real car show, but for me top gear is still a good petrolhead hour, even if it is all supercars and silly road trips
