I have some bad news about one of the Cumbria mk2 escort enthusiasts he was known to some on this BB but did keep himself to himself, and ran an MK2 escort all year-round he did the last few Lakes tour in the car some of you may remember the black car with the Nissan engine in but working on old escort s was his life having restored them and driving them for a very long time now however, last night driving home from one of his mates that he was helping restore a RS2000 ready for this summer he was involved in a road accident with an HGV and died at the scene .
Our condolences go out to his family at this sad time RIP
