How did you get your 1st start offshore? I've been trying for nearly 3 years and hardly a sniff of a job. I've got all me tickets (Survival,medical,mist,banksman/slinging,rigging/lifting). Ive sent my cv to companies, agencies and followed them up with phone calls only to be told Ive got no offshore experience and it helps if you know someone. I know its an incestuous industry but this in ****ing ridiculous! Any help would be appreciated

I work in pipeline inspection so offshore work is part of the job, know of heaps of jobs in Western Australia were offshore work is required but experience not a must (sometimes will be working on offshore islands so the pay is just as good).
