As above I have got our mk1 Gaz to agree to a challenge on track after all these Years of him saying that qtr mile is where it at ,

I will be speaking with one of the track Day organisers again in the new year to get this set up , will need 20+ or more now Cars must be running Road Legal Tyres and 4 pot N/A this will be like a TOP GEAR style set up , Looking for Escorts, Cortina , Anglia,s and even capri,s doesn't matter what engines as long as there 4 cylinder n/a , No space frame special must be very close to road legal *** NO MK1 GRANADA'S BANGERS UNLESS PRIOR NOTICE ***

Gaz mk1 will have to buy a steering rack, TCA's, TRE's and steering column now as the mk1 was only set up for straight runs.........

Cheeky git , i've got a "comfy" road car not a drag racer so it goes around corners great (sideways in 3rd)

Can't wait to demonstrate my 270bhp (on the old style "coastdown" pub dynos most use , lol) on track too shut up the non-belivers for good . Will make a change from forum folk saying "it's only fast in straight lines cos it's set up for drag racing".
Unless 2 inch lowering blocks , single leaf springs , 175mm wide tyres and a heater is "specialist drag racing" gear of course .

I've got a "comfy" road car though not a drag racer . I only do drag racing 3x's a year too demonstrate how fast a normal full weight Escort can go for a laugh .
0-109mph in 12.8sec (FIA clock) despite wheelspinning like foooooooook is still faster than stripped out competiton cars normally do and then i drive home with the heater on whilst they're licking their wounds on the back of a trailer .
