Renault 5 turbos are great though and excellent fun . Reliable if tuned right , most people bought them for £500 and then run 25psi with a bleed valve and then wondered why they blew up !!!!

a Y reg Datsun Stanza, brought it off the wifes dad, was a rusty heap i ended up snapping the camshaft on it, only had it for 9 months or so then traded it in for a 3 year old vw polo when i started my first proper job.

My first new car back in 93 a suzuki vitara with a fatboy kit fitted , i was so **** off with paying fortunes on insurance on my rs so i bought this and boy did i regret it the car spent more time in the dealers than on my drive ,the biggest pile of shite ever and i gave up on it after 9 months and gladly waved it bye bye

              ford8

Worst car I ever had was a 1936 Ford 8,it was my first car in 1957,when i passed my test.It had rod brakes which were absolute crap,no heater ,or any other mods.It was literally a box on 4 wheels,it had 4 doors epilectic springs (Think they called them that) One across the front, and one across the back,Many a time i had to go roll back down the hill I tried to get up in forward gears and reverse up,as it seemed to have a lower ratio reverse gear,BUT it had 450X17in tyres on spoke wheels ,and it never got stuck in snow

I would have thought the worst car you have ever owned G was the ford model T that you bought brand new in the 1920's

Prob the worst car I've owned was the most fun too.

I had a Homoligated Pug 104 Rallye, not the Samba that was a tuned road car. The proper Group B 104 that had been converted to RHD and had road trim in it. (look up Jean Todt, think he drove them)

My god could that thing go and made RST's look ike they were going backwards from the lights, but couldn't corner for toffee (I think they fitted the softest springs you could buy on it!!)

1300cc twin 40 solex's and weighed about 3.5 kgs all in.

Trouble was, when it broke I had to get the parts from Pug/Talbot motorsport in France and it cost fortune. Even though it was the same bore as the XS 205/104's.

As a poor boot neck in the late 80's, it had to go and that lead me onto my 2nd RS2000...which was nice.

Oh, and I loved my R5T too.

A 1981 Lada Riva in mustard. i was going through a 'minimalist' period, duing the 'glasnost' era.

I remember the seat belts had to be wound round a stick. Not sure if it had carpets?

MkIV 16 Ghia Escort in Mercury Grey (what else) and rust (what else).
Flat as a fart, non-existent handling, more rust than metal and apart from the toys no fun at all. The worst Escort I've ever owned.

One of the best cars was/were (both of my) Zetec S Fiesta(s), the later one especially, went like absolute f...
