Alfa Romeo GTV, you could see the thing rotting in front of you.

I bought it because it had a twin cam engine with twin Dellorto's, twin headlights, full glass roof, alloys, rear discs and lots of extras, even cruise control which consisted of a lever that clamped/held the throttle cable in postition . (well back in the early 80's I thought it was cool).

I had a series 2 rs turbo, one of the last ones on a "h" plate in about 1992.It had about 18,000 miles on the clock when i bought it..What a pile of crap.It would run out of petrol when it got down to a quarter tank.It would cut out intermittently when warm.It had 2 sets of front discs in the 8,000 miles that i owned it.You couldn't keep it in a straight line when accelerating hard. The brakes were crap and the steering incredibly heavy.
      Overrated junk.

      I did a straight swap for a Porsche 944s 16v,87 on a D plate with 50,000 miles.One of the best cars i ever owned.

                    Tough one this.

I had a 1997 Renault Megane coupe once, I was tortured with components failing and parts breaking that should just not happen in a 3 year old car.

The worst I ever owned was a 99 Vectra 1.9 DTi, an absolute ball of shite. Rattles, EGR valves, ABS pump, Engine management lights came on daily, car drove in limp home mode half the time, I felt like burning the car, but it was only for back and forwards to work in the dark, so no-one really ever seen me in it.

I've owned 30+ cars but the one that stick's out as the worst, was an E reg RS turbo. It was utter shite, rattled , banged, broke down, torque steer, turbo lag, horrible thing. But the heated front screen was handy
