i got a nokia 1600 (very high tec ) got it from woolworths many years ago for £25 does me as a proper phone would last long in my trade what with rain weather etc
In the very beginning when the mobile network was just starting I had this. Where other people with silly 2 Watt phones struggled to get a connection I always got through with this 8 Watt phone. Weighed a ton though ..
My Nokia to N97 had it two years, it's as good as having a minature laptop.
I've managed to crack the screen & fit a replacement.. spares are cheap too.
Also has a proper QWERTY key pad, as I'm not into typing on a touch screen.
Nokia 8210!!!.Had 11 of them in a year!,bees knees at the time crap though!.most sturdy was a motorola....just had to press a dozen buttons to send a msg.just in limbo at mo over galaxie s (aggro limbo)was assured it would last two year contract, its playing up after twelve month.
gave £1850+vat for my first motorola phone in 1986 still have the same number and only ever had motorola phones
And i thought i was the only one that didnt like change .
Ive been with bt cellnet since 91 on the same number and some large cumbersome motorola phone that was forever getting clowned back then even had a handsfree kit fitted to the mk2 rs .
