this track is superb for a mk2, especially the hairpin.

I remember a few years back a guy went on the track with a renault laguna...he hired it for the weekend form hertz rentals at the airport

Don't knock Lagunas! They're great for being able to drive around in modern looking technology and not actually losing the contact to basic agricultural engineering principles.

(PS. I don't have one by choice)
