very nice - saw a collection of Didier Auriol the other day - think the manufacturers just gave them the championship winning cars after the mid 80's - shame they didnt do it with the Escorts, would have saved a lot on the identity crisis some cars seem to have !!!
I think they often had it written into their contracts they keep the cars after a good result for the year??
On the right two mk1 corblimeys, one mk1 escort, 1 flat front mk2 and one RS2000 mk2. Some dosh in there alright
If Ari would have had that written into his contracts, he'd probably only have won half as many rallies, not wanting to shunt his soon to be "new" motor...

As above, the Escort would only have been half as successful if the driver's had been thinking of their next "prize"...
This month's Octane magazine runs a good feature on the collection, all of the Fords are road cars and include rs1600, rs1800 and rs2000.
Also has five Ferraris and some awesome Group B rally cars.
