  • Insurance Agreed Value - RS1600

    Hi Guys,

Recently insured my RS1600 whilst in restoration and would like to get an agreed value with the insurers for it. Can anyone help me or suggest who is the best person to have value and fill the form in for me?

    Cheers
    Rich

Well i wish you luck with this, as i insured my escort with Adrian Flux over the phone, thinking i was getting a proper agreed valuation on my car, and when the paperwork came through after 3 more phonecalls after the insurance had been up and running over a month, i eventually got their agreed valuation which was £3000 LESS than when i had my car insured through More Than. I asked how it could be an agredd valuation, when i dont agree with it and i was told the only way i could get a better valuation was to have an independant assessor covered by some industry standard to value it, the nearest to me was in Nottingham, which was useless to me as the car was on SORN and that is an hours run away from me, they told me they wont accept club valuations or any other valuation not covered by this standard, i cant remember what it was called, but will look through my old emails and find it and the link Adrian Flux sent, and i will put it on here.
One thing is for sure, i deffo will never insure with Adrian Flux again, once bitten twice shy. I am currently contacting the FSA about how they conducted their business, as i was deffo misled by them regarding an agreed valuation on my car. How they can just decide on a figure and say thats it, is beyond me, Am i missing something about what the word 'AGREED' means.

If you want it, get it, before someone else beats you to it.

As always guys lots of help and thank you!

I have contacted William and Kerry and awaiting a reply. Will see what they come up with.

Insured with Footman James as Hagerty wont insure anyone under 30 :-( but FJ seem like a good company.
After I get an agreed valuation they said if I keep a portfolio of progress with photos etc and proof of money spent then if in the unfortunate event I have to claim, a value could be derived from this - is this the norm? Sounds ok to me but new to the game!?!

                  Cheers

Have an RSOC Agreed valuation on my Mexico with Heritage insurance. An AVO/RSOC Valuation is non-contestable.
