Wonder if there is a way we could put a cross over the ones that were stolen, burnt out or ringed??!!

When you say custom painted, are these cars the works ones before finishing then?

These Cars were 'ordinary' RS Sierra cosworths prior to transporting (in a slow drip feed) up to the Tickford plant in Bedworth near coventry to be transformed into RS500's.
If i recall, i was there around 1987 ( i have some pics here somewhere).

Not fully sure where this particular 'Holding plant' is, i assume Dagenham /Frog island. - maybe Mogsmex can confirm.

Here (Tickford) they would have had additional spoilers, Badging, (and i think the engine conversion to eight injectors, bigger turbo etc)

                hope this helps

Correct , these were the first batch ready to go to tickford to be converted to rs500"s

Its amazing that not many people know that rs500"s started life as a complete 3 door and were converted to rs500"s ,most think they were built by ford on the production line

A few more piccs for you all
