Still here folks..not much time too spare these days with 3 kids and working 50-60 hours most weeks. Moved house in the summer also so busy doing DIY etc.
Did manage to pop in to meet an old friend up North recentely who has a few lovely MK2 rs cars inc 2 RS1800's..put me back in the mood, it was great to catch up
Nice to know that, even if you're gone, you're not forgotten!
Still got Jaffa and must get around to doing the seats sometime with the new Aldridge covers. Got bored during a slump at work and a year's "Gardening Leave" so bought an old Stag to restore. Should be finished this summer - that will make it 3 years which is a lot faster than Jaffa (19 years!).
Planning for the Stag to be the last time I bury myself in a garage - when it's done I must get out and enjoy the cars more. Jaffa needs a new block - old one only has a couple of hundred miles on it after rebore in 1995 or so, but 15 years stood in the corner of the garage don't seem to have done it any good. Got an annoying sloppy feel to the steering sorted when I found that narrow single leaf spring bushes are now available in poly. Fitted them and the cars steering tightened up like a dream - several clonks and knocks disappeared too. When I bought the bushes I noticed that they do the correct diameter ARB ones too, so will fit them next.
I'm still lurking, but no cars anymore maybe one day, I check in from time time to see what's going on
I do hang about on farcebook inbetween that shitty work type thing , spend many hours trying to feed the kids, and kids guitar, horseriding, and dance classes for them too

Nice to see nothing is changed
Hi Brian. Sounds like things are still tough then. Are you still doing the HMP thing? Is it you doing the horseriding or the kids?
Yep still doing the hmp thing but the wife's driving instruction is near non exsistant with the credit cruncH and silly insurance quotes for the young ones like £8000 for a 1 litre corsa ****ing mad
Yep doing doing their things you have to keep their lives going
Nice work on the stag, but then I would expect nothing less from a perfectionist
johnie sorry to hear that mate, you will get it sorted
