In Pauls defence he did NOT want to let the car go but like he says it was a decision he had to make as a car he as been wanting for years as come up for sale!! Paul is limited on space and sometimes you have to move things to get others in! He may not want to share with us all the car he as in mind but i believe its a once in a lifetime chance to own it! I guess i was just lucky to get my dream car too!

        It was mate

As phil says ,I have a chance to buy somthing a bit special and i was selling other cars to buy it , BUT , when phil pestered the life out of me , lol and made me a offer i couldnt refuse i caved in

My plan was to keep werthers and sell other cars , I had 3 to sell to buy the other car but one of the 3 ( my group 4 mk2 ) hasnt sold and when phil offered to buy werthers it made the other purchase possible , so i let it go

My group 4 is still for sale and sods law says it will sell now i have let werthers go but thats life

werthers as gone to a superb home and i know 100% will not move house again

        Paul

Hi Jack Only "5" in 33 years!!!! I have just bought an 06 reg Audi with "6" buggers on!!!!
WERTHERS is a strange one because since 2005 it as hardly turned a wheel! Most of us like to drive our classics to shows etc but you would be mad to drive WERTHERS so i think thats some times why these cars move home! I bought a new Honda Fireblade in 1992 and said i would never sell it! Well i have still got it and its like new so WERTHERS will NOT be moving on!!

She will never ever be sold again....Dad wont do that! As he says mate, He has had some things since I was a small kid and will never sell them regardless of the offer!
I am the same too! Dad has some stunning cars and as a child he had nothing... he made a big jump when his boss died about 15 years ago and has since worked very hard and can now enjoy the rewards.... Im very proud of him and He helps me with my cars alot!
I just want to say that I dont want people to slag werthers off regarding how many owners etc as This is my Dads dream car and I want him to enjoy owning it and showing it!!!! also its unfair to have a pop at Paul either... as he is a great bloke who genuinly didnt want to let the car go but he wants that other car!!!!

Hey Phil good luck with your new purchase. I always like to ask is the car gonna be driven or shown? I look foreward to one day maybe, seeing a picture of it coming off a roundabout side ways with plenty of smoke. That is how to enjoy these cars lol

goes to show that standard cars always sell better than cars that have been messed with rally look alikes modded cars and rally cars

As was said "good standard cars will always sell".
I'm sure it was a hard descision to sell but looks like its gone to a perfectionist, judging by the starlet.

Best of luck with it Phil. hope to see it some day.
PS Paul - give Phil a copy of that CD

I must admit i went to a show last year with one of my other cars and felt like a lepper!! Im use to going Autograss racing where i know everyone but when i went to that show it was hard work!! That as made me feel alot better knowing it as had a drive out! I must admit i am not in to sitting at a show all day polishing!! I admire the people who do but it aint for me! Al can do that!!
