Three months ago my son AL was talking about a car called WERTHERS! I thought it was some rally car or something like that! Look i have been Autograss racing for 20 years and lost track of time!! I sold a Escort mk 2 Mexico about a six weeks ago to Paul from North Yorkshire RS Spares and yet again my Son mentioned the name WERTHERS! He told me i must go and see this car as Paul owned it! Paul very kindly invited me to see this WERTHERS car but i did not know what to expect? Why as AL been going on about this car for so long??? Paul opened the door to his workshop and there it was!! What a shitty colour i said!! Then i got close! I just stood there in shock! NOW i know what AL as been going on about!! That is f*****g lovely i said!! For the first time in ages i took to my hands and knees and peered under and it got better! I did not appreciate what lengths you guys go to! After 20 minutes i popped the question to Paul......GO ON HOW MUCH??? Not for sale he said!! For the first time in my life i was going to beg!! I got a grip and asked Paul to think about it, Just ring me tomorrow and let me know i said! Bloody hell i could not sleep! True to his word Paul rang me...... NOT FOR SALE he said!! I was gutted for myself and even more for AL! A couple of weeks have gone by and i decided yesterday to ask for your help to find me something that may come close to WERTHERS! Paul left me a message so i rang him today! Pop through and see me he said!! I did and now i own WERTHERS!! I just want to thank Paul for letting it go to me and also to thank you guys for your messages and kind offers! I do not think WERTHERS will ever be for sale again as AL would kill me!!!
