    After 42 years 8 months and 25 days i have been made redundent today from Davidsons junc 40 Heres the two trucks that have been part of my life for a long time .Last recovery taking the Foden to its new owner

      That Foden would be there when I was on YTS in 1983/4 I think. Have they closed down then. Sad day for you no doubt.

        The whole site has been sold for a retail park Yes it would be there then we got it in 1981

              Sad day Jim end of an era you know my thoughts , I for one will miss the crack in the garage . Not sure who I can trust to work on daffy now, still on my way up to fraz catch upwith you tommorow

                        real sorry to hear that jim loyality to one firm is a rare thing these days.
                        dont know what you plan to do perhaps father might need a minder on his long trips. hope this hasent changed your plans for "tina".

                            Thanks for all your kind word guys,not sure what to do now ,you never know i might have time to get a shine on the cortina now
                            Have told Steve i will be able to walk the Lakes Tour route next year ,the road book will be turn left at the 5th cats eye then right at the next cats eye that will keep you all on the right route
