The most benign climate in the UK is in West Dorset and South East Devon. Other places such as Cornwall and the Isle of Wight may lay claim to the title but wind and other extremes cancel any advantages of sun etc. The climate in East Dorset is significantly different, with much lower rainfall but with other detractions...and it has a few jobs.
So I moved from West Dorset to a few miles from where the record low temperature for England has been recorded...and where we currently have a drought that has lasted for months...Comment

Dont come to Dublin.... rained non stop for last 48 hours.
Just got word tonight my store where I keep new building materials & tools etc is under 5 feet of water - everything destroyed.
beside river which rose & burst.
