The sad thing is, some of the very people from this board, who i considered friends, came up to me and praised the car then in the same breath found it fulfilling, condeming it and slagging it off. There are an awful lot of cars out there that belong to members from this very board that are "not right". Not even complete RS cars. But hey-ho, there you go...Paul, now sounds like the right guy to own the car. I cant wait to meet up with him and the car again. Man, this has got the emotions going again. Cue Topaz......

To be honest mate do we realy need to drag up old crap regards this car

IMO, there was a lot of back stabbing went on regards the car and i would say 99% of it was jealousy

Its a fantastic car and like every other car in the world it has it faults , it just seemed that regards this car some people made up faults this car never had and the ones it did have ( and still has ) the couldnt shout about loud enough

I bought the car because from the first time i saw it i thought it raised the bar regards restored cars and it blew me away

Im happy to own it and to be honest couldnt give a shit what anyone says about it , The only man thats worthy of kribbing it is the man who parks a car next to it that is better , Plus the man who built it and the man who owns it

I realy dont want to start a slanging match so would rather people just didnt bring up the past

Thankyou to all those who congratulated me on owning the car and i hope i can do the car justic when it comes out again

Paul - I wasn't wishing to drag up old crap about the car but I wasn't really very involved around the scene back then and am struggling to understand why people would criticise the car that was all. As I have said i think its a minter and you won't hear a bad word said against it from me.
Anyone wishing to start any slanging matches about the car is a fool imo.

That's the problem with concours i'm affraid , they've all been bickering since the 1980's . Too many bufty's splitting hairs and not driving them enough .
It's easily the best standard rs2000 mk2 about so just lower the fooookin thing and get it sideways !!!! Nuff said .
