    Have just treated myself to one of these kits,

    just need to wait till it arrives now before I attempt to powder coat anything thats not bolted down.

    Anyone ever tried one or got any tips?

      I will keep you updated! I have just bought an electric cooker that went cheap on ebay to "bake" my items in.

      Wonder what the seller will think when they find out what I have planned for their shiny old cooker?

        Hi bud.

        These are not bad for the money although they are only good for doing very small brackets or flat sample panels etc.

        Problem is they dont have adjustable KV so you may struggle with the Faraday cage effect.

        Still good fun though all the same and once you get going you will try and powder coat everything in site.

        Also make sure you blast everything first to give you a good surface etch and shoot your powder onto pre heated parts

          Sounds perfect for what I have planned for it, Small bits off the RS, motorbike bits etc. Already have a nice blast cabinet so thats going to get some use again.

          Good idea about pre heating the parts! suspect that will make a big difference to the finish.

          Getting impatient now want to give it a go........hopefully tomorrow.
