Not a good week for me. Have been told that 3 people I socialise with in the Nottinghamshire Squash leagues have developed Cancer. 1 Lady and 2 Blokes. 2 are quite close friends and the other used to belong to the same club as I did 6 years ago but has since stopped playing.

    Makes you think.

3 years ago my wife was told she had cancerat the age of 31 and at that time we had only been married 1 year .its the biggest eye opener every and feels like youve just had the biggest kick in the bollocks . 2 years ago she has been give the all clear so there can be light at the end of the very dark tunnel .
wish all your friends the best of luck and a speedy recovery .

The 2 blokes both have a good fighting chance. It's the lady I am worried about. Has Liver Cancer which has now moved into her spine.

my next door neighbour, 57, nicest bloke you could imagine has problem near his kidneys - been bad for a few years and seems to have been worse this year - cos its near his spine, they cant really do much till they try and shrink it with chemo injections - has gone down a little bit but not enough yet.

Lost my father in law to cancer last year. Was 3 months between diagnosis and him passing. Was only 49.

              Absolutely horrible cancer is.

Yep it's horrible, my mom was diagnosed with boob cancer in feb, surgery and a course of radio therapy followed which she has had a bad reaction to hopefully things can improve.

my dad had a lobe off his lung and a kidney removed last christmas and was given the all clear in June, then went to the docs 5 times with a sore back who on his 5th visit sent him to the hospital and was told it had started growing near his spine and an operation is not possible and all they can do now is shrink it
