    Oh dear, still as people can't afford houses and no doubt people with a fair wedge and afraid of the stock market have driven up the Escort prices.

    Nowadays 15-20 K for a MkII is "normal, here's why... Classics




    ...still it was the same at the beginning of the 90's; 20K for Mk I Lotus Cortina, that came to an abrupt end too...

    Its the never ending boom and bust. Same as the eighties and probably long before then! Its the same with Gold prices. It will all fall flat ! Nothing ever changes!

      All the 20K standard cars may drop in value but the 20K modded ones won't as they have expensive parts on them . So an Escort with 10 grands worth of parts under the bonnet will always hold it's value better than one with a stock cheapo power plant in a price crash .

          The dust never settles , all the stolen ones get spotted even 10 years later . Take photos of all welding work and holes drilled in the shell etc etc and that's like a finger print for later .
