I have a 2.5wrx wagon as i needed practicle but be aware road tax is not cheap. Stick to a pre 2006 and 2.0L if you are conscious of what it's costs to run. A car everyone should try in my opinion.

STI all day long, iv had two and theyre great fun, but expensive on fuel. But you dont buy one for MPG

WRX, and get it mapped. I averaged 24mpg over the 3 years I had it, which is the same as the Escort.

Blob STi PPP (2005 on, Wider Track) I had one of these last year and are truly awesome to drive. Fit a Scoobyworld 3" Exhaust and pure music to the ears
Only down side was the running costs for me. 22 mpg, £600 to insure etc etc. Servicing is expensive as well.

Would love another Subaru sometime. 22B maybe

STi has better engine internals (Forged) than the WRX. They can only be run on 99 RON fuel as well if you want to stay safe with that engine. Avoid the later 2.5 engines.

depends what you want to do with it, wrx is far more civilised to0 drive, sti is basically a road going rally car

4WD isn't fun though , rear wheel drive M power is much more fun .
