I go for the local shows these days, and ones like the Oulton Park Gold Cup (Track action and static diplays) where they allow exhibiting car and driver in for free instead of £21 on the gate

The RS Owners Club caters for ALL RS Cars not just our old knackers!!!
This event costs tens of thousands to put on. Advance tickets are always a lot cheaper so really those who leave it to pay on the gate should have maybe ordered in advance??
Ford fair was £16 in advance, Classic ford is just as bad and Trax is also expensive.

If the RSOC did not have so many cars and members then the shows could not be afforded for the members/public to see. I am not a member of the RSOC as my car is a shed and unroadworthy so I have not joined.
I do enjoy going to Coombe and and do not mind paying the Swindon RSOC an entrance fee because they have gone to arrange a very good show for Ford weirdos and anoraks !!
At Combe there is the full range of Ford's some I would not bother to walk over and look because they do not interest me. I do though realise that to the owners the cars are their babies. So the last time I only took the **** out of one Puma owner! But hay their a bunch of Ford enthusiasts and without them and the fees they pay the RSOC might fade away.
As we all know the Escorts are old and most have been scrapped as they are FORDS; Dagenham dustbins and are looked down by ****s driving Bristols around Castle Combe acting like complete upper class knobs. Just let that out then!! So the point is every club needs new blood.
