bet you wished youd never asked now

do what you think is right for you, if your that bothered about it being the right colour for the taggs etc, buy a set of them with a v5 off ebay, its full of them

joking aside id kepp it the original colour due to re sale etc etc., but as said it is your car after all

              explain yourself

for the record for the starter

imo if youre going to keep the car then do whatever makes you feel happy, a colour you like then do it, though as said if its going to be sold later some police may be asking why, and may not be happy to take it on.
even some well known show cars have had a colour change.

grum...btw plenty of diamond white here to make it a proper twin pulley blue stripe car, just to get rid of the "one off bugatti" label

You can't cause all this agro and leave the thread there

What's everyone make of a sunroof then Oven door type or webasto ?

Quite like them myself, I'm never going to be going down a rally stage or enter concourse but ideal for a road car.

                    Hello Steve,

I'm wearing my tin hat and all I will say is when my present RS2000 was delivered I removed the aftermarket sunroof it and threw the lot in the skip! I have had Webasto sunroofs they are nice. The microvave doors I have not experienced. The best sunroof I have had was a factory fitted sunroof, that was in a Capri 3000 Ghia though. I do not know if they were fitted in any RS cars as I haven't a proper RS as it does not have a shit brown interior and a dolls pram roof!

as said it's your car and you should have it how you want it colour and all

I've known people who have not been happy with their cars because they have kept or changed things to try and please others or because they want other people to like it

Having said that if the car was a stunning original example though then i would leave it as it is but if going for a resto then why not change the colour for one you prefer at the same time

I do accept though after I had a skinfull last night, I could have put my views across to board members differently and maybe more politically correct in these "soft" times, as so many are easily offended. I will get my coat and leave very quickly ! Its a good thing this board is for fun !
Think your not getting my point. Proper rs cars have vinyl roofs as well as non vinyl roofs. Proper rs cars have brown interior as well as black interior. I didn't agree with your first post and I wasn't the only one. If I see something that's not right I'll say so. I'm not offended I just dont agree with what you put. I will say no more son!

I'm sorry mate, but since when did the colour of the seats and the fitment of a vinyl roof make a rs car not an rs

I would say that maybe some body colours dont suit a vinyl as much as others, just as some body colours suit a certain colour glass, but it does'nt make it another model if fitted.

With regards to colour, I would say that most of the lads are saying not not to change the colour in the interests of protecting the money that's invested into the car by the owner.

It's your car and do what you want, but if it is an original unmolested car then I would leave alone (but it is your choice)

If it is a restoration and you don't like the original colour then change to a colour you do like but ideally keep it to a colour that was available when the car was originally built as this will help the future value slightly if you inform the buyers (if you are going to ever sell it)

If you are going to keep the car for a long time with no intentions of ever selling then do what you feel happy with and 'stuff' everyone elses thoughts as it's your money and you that has to look at it every week
                              Cheers

Hello Kelvin, It does seem the bufty & RS brigade are trying to take over. Well good for you lot. Owners should be able to do what you what they want with their cars as it's their property. If you want a fight on this board grow up, its meant to be fun!
