The police bill for the olympics will triple in size now and guess who will pay for it.
All the taxpayers, the majority of whom won't even be going to the olympics due to the total farce of the ticket sales.

While you can't condone the looting and burning there has many a time I've felt like going down to Westminster and putting in the windows of number 10.

As a taxpayer I am fed up paying for other people mistakes.

and now these riots!

Every time there is a suspicious police caused death there is the potential for a riot.
The cynical amonst us would say that it actually suited the Met to let London burn.
It will be a while before anyone mentions any cutbacks, streamlining or efficiency measures at a top table meeting.
With the olymics around the corner and the olymic committiee in town during the riots, the Mets budget now becomes a wishlist at our expense.
