The 38dgas is ok but if you re-work a standard one you can get the same results with better throttle response

I've run a 38DGAS for a few years now..was definitely one of the best bolt on mods, even if perceived as "mild"....

The throttle response feels much stronger/immediate than the standard "2 stage" carb..

They're cheap enough to give it a go...
