Any computer whizz kids on here - Struggling to upload 10mins+ vids on youtube...

as above folks, its really beginning to do my head in

I have some cracking in car footage from Croft and I am wanting to upload them onto youtube...however the upload time is taking forever!

Last night I left it on overnight and after about 12hours it had loaded 33% !!!!

The vids are in mp4 format and aroung 1.70GB each and are around 10-15mins long max...

Any suggestions folks?

Any help would be great before I boot my laptop up and down my livingroom!

1.7GB is quite a lot for a 10min video and probably why it is taking so long to upload, you should try and compress them. Should really be sub 100MB I would have thought

stop downloading all those 'other' movies and it would run quicker

1.7 gigs! You'll be a long while waiting for that, download a free video convertor and drop down the video quality and screen size it'll make it a lot smaller

So what can I compress the file to and AVI?...Is that a smaller file?

I thought I had cracked it last night aswell as I noticed I didnt have the newest JAVA installed for youtube's large uploads...seemingly they say you can upload up to 2GB...So I installed that and after 2hrs it was at 35%...then left it overnight and about 14hrs later I check it again and its at 49% !!!!! ...

I am wondering lads...if my comp goes into sleep mode it shouldnt effect the upload speed or process should it?
