I don't see why using a hotel should stop it being a good weekend: I just got back from a weekend at Anglesey with a mate who's in the VX220 owners club. Everyone stayed at either the main hotel or some smaller B&Bs nearby. It was sociable, both at the track and in the bar afterwards. They seemed a great bunch and I'd be very dissapointed if I came on an RS meet and it wasn't similar, so I can understand your point RS New Boy.

Maybe we need to buy VX220s instead.

It's the way forward , I did a 330 odd mile round trip and went on track (and off, oops ) at Castle Combe last weekend without it missing a beat!
To be honest all car clubs are a bit quiet at the moment, there's not a lot of money/confidence about right now, it will come back, it always does.

I would say that it's a little bit do do with people finding things tough at the moment, less working hours, going from full to part time or even being out of work maybe. That coupled with the un predictable cumbrian weather.

There was still the volume of cars and people at the tour, is it some of us are getting to old to be arsed with the camping lark? I know myself, I dont like camping as by the time sunday comes you feel like shit and just want to go home.

I think its down to many things realy, we just need for the sun to be splitting the sky for next years tour, and for all the ****ers at number 10 to get a grip and fix the mess........

          Regards John
