Sometimes I forget what I went upstairs for, but I remember all of these:

1976 Mk2 Escort 1300L (upgraded to 1600 and many other mods worth more than the car ).
1984 MG Metro.
1980 Mk3 Escort 1600 XR3 replica.
1984 Mk3 Escort 1600 XR3 replica. (Yes I swoped the bits over ).
1986 Mk3 Escort XR3i Finally got a 'real one' and what a disapointment it was, but it was ex salvage as were the next block of cars all stolen recovered/light damaged:
1988 Astra 1600L
1989 Sierra 2.0 GLSi
Various Mk2 Cavaliers
1993 Mk3 Cavalier 1.7TDi (much worse damage than I'd realised at purchase and made a loss on this one ).
1990 Orion 1600i Ghia (stop gap and it was awful, plus I lost money on it too).
1986 Granada 2.0i Ghia auto (another stop gap, but I still have it's head on the RS as it's unleaded ).
Then an undamaged, dealer bought car:
BMW 525i Auto (I was walking to work and it was a nice car to use at weekends when I didn't worry about the cost of fuel ).

Various company cars:
1999 Focus 1.7Tdi estate.
1999 Seat Toledo 2.3 V5 (better than I thought it would be)
2003 VW Passat 1.8T
2006 VW Passat 2.0Tdi Estate
2009 Audi A4 2.0TDi Estate.

And the reason I'm on here: 1979 RS2000 Custom owned for the last 15 years, but in the family almost since new.

Next on the cards is likely a TVR Chimaera 400 or 450 which will mean the RS has to go, but I figure I'm due a mid life crisis now at 45+ and would like a convertable before I lose my hair or it turns grey.
