So are any of you Boys and Girls taking your Escorts to Le Mans this year ?
Andy X pack (Moonstone gold wheels) is not this year as he had already offered to drive the van for this years trip (Bless him) . I have offered to drive the van so he can take the X but he is has said he will still drive it; so no X pack action during the trip.
But for next year we are hoping to take Both of our cars ( Best i get my finger out ).

So i take it nobody is going ????? To the most spectacular motor sport event on the planet ( Maybe with the exception of the indianapolis 500 ). but you cant drive to that from here.

took mine with grum in 1995 and 96,then again in 2004,got loads attention with people taking pics of it from their cars,then a whole street of drunk brits cheeringstill got the sticky tape on the windscreen from the camping pass from 96

Not going this yr as the RS is in bits.
Like Richy c said you get loads of waves and people taking pics as you drive.

95 and 96. 95 was a wettish one in parts and saw the mclaren fl win

Has to be said Mad Friday after about 6 in the evening is well worth avoiding in a MK1 or 2 as it is too bent out of shape on the roads. The last time X-Pack Andy ( Steerwiththerear ) went through in his bubble arch mk1 he had people standing in front of the car asking him to burn out and the crowd had drawn in very tight around the car. Dont think they knew how hard 320 bhp YB launches, they did after that people diving for ditches. So moral is avoid a late Mad Friday road use.
