Havig sold my rs in January to another member of the rwd board for reasonable monies,im now regretting my decision to do so, but would like another car too replace it, the way prices are rising all the time i dont think it will be an escort, have looked at capris , cortinas, was thinking of xr4i until this came upwww.flickr.com/photos/32824287%40N06/... do any of you boys know it , any info would help, would like a nice car and something different, this deffo fits the bill.

the price of escorts that have had a very good resto don't meet what it cost to do the resto "trust me i've done 3 mk2 RS escorts and lost on all 3" so the price that cars are up for sale at the mo are good low prices
the parts are what the dear bits are and ppl don't see that they will pay X amount for one part and don't think of the full cost of the resto so i say if you don't mind having a car that someone else has restored then buy a project as if you restor a car that car will always have your name on it for the rest of it's life EG RRR will always be knowen as my car and not the bloke that paid £20k for it

so by a resto stay away from the blue boxes go see darran and mark with a BIG list get all your bit's in one place get a discount and save on postage as i recon that if all parts was got of ebay or sent via this BB by mates then you will pay well over £500 postage.....now theres a thought

I think people get confused with what cars are worth when it comes to escorts I've seen cars sell as above , mega cars with lots of cash spent on them then you see cars that are tarted up running 30 yr old parts patch work efforts and the owners see them as 10 k
Or let's weld up a squib stick a cosworth in it and charge lots without getting the components to match the engine
My fav is only needs ........ If I was paying decent cash for a car it would need to need nothing
