        Lovely motor that,is it Amber Gold? I used to have a Blue Mink MK2 Lotus in the day and my mate had an Amber Gold 1600E, we put my twin cam in the 1600 E and tuned the crossflow and put it in my Lotus for some road rallying.

        Always reconed at the time it was the best Mk2 you could have.

        Enjoy it.

                as they are now gold they will only want scotching off then drop them through and paint them black and fit new bolts

                      Just thought you might be interested to know that there's an almost sister car in Graham Robson's book "Cortina 1600E Super Profile" - a silver fox 1600E with reg number CYK 307H.
