Insurance WTF

I have just sold my focus rs which was 27k new, and my insurance said that this years cost for insurance would of been £432 fully comp protected,so i told them i wanted to insure my shonky old modeo st this year, as ive sold the car. not one insuance company on 3 major comparrison web sites would insure this mondeo, for less than the focus rs WTF........ even "more than" who insured the focus wanted more money???

insurance......................obviously a science that baffles me


Has insurance gone up all round this year or are they barking mad!

True enough...

However, I had an ST170 and have looked at an ST225 and the Focus ST (225) is actually cheaper than the ST170 (nearly half the cost).

I think it has something to do with the age of the car, the NCAP rating etc.
That said, these people have to get the lossses from the stock market crash, Japan etc back from someone...
