          Some shocking pictures and footage

Graham Hill had a bad accident - broke both legs - a part time ambulance driver was found - who then drove him to a hospital that was shut

P*ss up and brewery springs to mind

More safety is at todays trackdays than Grand Prix in the 50's 60's and into the 70's

Jackie Stewart with a spanner taped to his steering wheel for self rescue in case he got trapped by it its almost unbelievable now.

Anyone else think Colin Chapman came across as glory chasing who seemed to treat his drivers as almost "expendable"???

Been reading a book called tales from the toolbox and a lot of the mechanics who worked for him have plenty to say

Some shocking moments-Lots of respect to the Drivers. A very dangerous time. Colin Chapman got lots of negative comments. Jackie Stewart what a man...took on the establishment and did some great work to help reduce the number of needless deaths.

                            Shocking

That last clip with David Purley always hits me hard when I see it - you can see the despair trying to get Roger Williamson out - horrible to see

Really interesting programme but such a shame to see so much talent go to waste so early in their careers

Last bit of footage with David Purley was shocking - can't even begin to imagine how he must have felt at the time
