Classic Ford show

Was just wondering if anybody on here will be attending classic Ford show this year.
I've been trying to enter my car for the last 3 weeks into the Yokohama performance & style awards but they keep messing up.I've applied 2 times now via the link on the site,they have now put my car description with a mk2 harrier on there site.What a F**K UP.Every year I've been going nothing seems simple (except the people running the show).
All I want to do is show my car, but it seems if you're not the member of a club you have to enter a competition.

why not just send off a club applacation for a 1 car stand



that show has just turned into ford fair 2 santa pod edition

its run by a company that are only interested in making money

There are a lot of negitive comments about this show what exactly is wrong with it

Perhaps I am growing into a Victor Meldrew, and I may be out of touch, but I base my reasoning on the following experiences :

1. When I camped once, it was a little bit 'BOOM BOOM BANG BANG ' with the RS Turbo's and the like checking out their 'ICE' This was quite a racket along with the fairground dodgems music

2. On the occasions when I didn't camp, I was faced with over 1 hour queues to get to the gate and then 40 mins to get to my pitch from the gate

3. Once I got to the pitch, it was poorly marked out tarmac areas and was dusty.

4. Watching cars go up the strip at the Pod did not entertain me, though the jet car was cool

5. It cost me as an exhibitor to get in (whilst I don't mind a minimal charge, there are limits. (It costs us a lot personally to get to these shows these days)

6. Had to queue to get out

That's it really......but these are personal experiences, and each to their own

We're going for the weekend in our camper van and leaving the Escort at home . Far too packed at this show for racing these days as the queues are massive , best to race on a normal RWYB meet .
Took me 45mins just to get the Escort out the camp site last time and 3 hours for 1x run up the drag strip !!!
Best to go Saturday and camp too save the queue on the sunday as you might be hours just getting in the door .
Most big car shows charge an entry fee but some are taking the **** nowadays . People showing cars should get in 1/2 price cos if they weren't there would be no car show !!!!
Also raping people for drag racing is out of order . Normally it's £20 allday but on the big shows it's £20 for 3x runs . Then they wonder why nobodys racing !!!!

I resent my aplication for the 3rd time.Pics are now on there but some of the spec is wrong.
I would of thought looking at the pics it was obvious the spec was wrong!

apart from being advertised in the mag and them being at the show,thats the only connection between the show originser and mag.
the same people organize a handful of shows through out the year, 2 vauxhall 2 jap and 2 ford shows.
last week there was a thread from someone i guess who works for them advertising 1 of the vauxhall shows on old skool ford

and when they rang me tryin to get the avo club along,when i told them there was too many 'new' cars there they tryed to sell the idea of coming along to ford fair
