  • Strike plans announced by Spanish Airport workers

Go sent this info from my sister who lives in spain, thought I would pass it on just in case anybody is planning a trip.

Strike plans announced by Spanish Airport workers
A strike by Spanish airport workers is planned to coincide with the Easter holidays. 22 days of strikes are planned, starting on April 20 and continuing through May, June and July through to the end of August. The action is a response to the planned privatization of Aena, the state-controlled airports authority.
The proposed strike dates are as follows:

    April: 20, 21, 24, 25 and 30
    May: 2, 14, 15, 19 and 20
    June: 13, 23 and 30
    July: 1, 2, 3, 4, 15 and 31
    August 1, 15 and 31
This could shut virtually every airport in Spain for those days, including the Canary Islands.
