1st part of history maybe someone's company car (engineering company rep ? )then auctioned off after its year or so`s of use. I remember back then company cars were changed more regularly , after a year or so ,my dad had a few Cortina`s back then.

Stormont were surely an RS dealer then? (Hildenborough?) Pretty sure I spoke to them in 79 when looking for best deal on a new RS2 Custom. I think it was them who were ordering in base, non-Custom, RS2s with Recaros and other Custom parts.
Links with Rod Chapman in early Rallycross?
