mine was a sort of garage/barn find had been long forgotten everybody had thought she'd been scrapped

It just amuses me when I read of the RS escorts and grandads as new car that turn up after being forgoton about for 20 odd years

the rumours are bull about this...there was a tread on another website about the real story behind the cars n barn, but dont remember it ....but what a collection of cars

i know of a few lotus cortinas and an escort twin cam sitting in barns dotted about ne scotland.all in reasonable easily fixed up condition but the same old story...the owners wont part with em.

Had a barn / garage find last august - wasn't a Ford but was a classic rwd rally car, sbd built 16v Vauxhall, quaife 5 speed box, 5 linked atlas, big brakes etc etc had been parked up from 1994 and door was opened for the first time when guy took pics for me... luckily enough he hadn't much of a clue about its worth so as soon as he asked me what he was looking for it, i was on the next nights boat out of Dublin with my van and trailer... must admit it was a great result....
