  • What a Waste of time

I have just spent the last hour odd trying to fit those carbs on the motorcycle ones, firstly the last stud hole was off by a couple of mill so the manifold would not go on

then I found out even with the revised smaller airfilter it would not fit with the battery tray, the carbs will with an inch of clearance, so ringing him to morrow and wanting the money back.

they looked well in position but I could not get them on the studs so did not want to start drilling the manifold to fit when the airfilter and that would be in the way

heres some pics of them in rough position

Definatly worth the few £ for some bolts, however the battery air cleaner problem may require something more drastic. woudl be a shame but the boot is there for a reason.

use sock filters, dont need an airbox; it just shuts out the lovely sound of the carbs.

persevere with these little hiccups please, i'm sure with a little fiddling, you will be able to overcome these problems, it would be a really good set up to have working correctly, go on.....you know it makes sense!
