RS snobbery?

    RS snobbery?

    Hey guys ...
    Something has come up for sale recently that i have been interested in for some time.
    Its literally everything i could want in a car. Its in Show condition, a street sleeper, and a pretty damn good engine spec!perfect for the strip .... the only problem is that it doesnt bare an RS badge.

    Now the only way i could afford said car is by selling my mk2 mexico..... but, i dont think i can bring myself to do it ...... and its not even that im too attached to the car. I would quite happily sell/swap it for the right RS, but am reluctant to part with it for your "average" classic ford.

    Does anyone else suffer from this "snobbery"?
    or can it be justified as a genuine love for the RS brand?
    maybe its simply to do with the fact that RS cars seem to hold/increase their value better than other varieties?

    Can't just be me can it?

      just buy what you think is best for you, doesnt matter if its an rs or not

          i want both although if i had the money to own both at the same time, i could just improve the mex to the spec of the other car and have it all in one awesome package

          thats pretty much what it boggs down too, you tend to get a fair bit more car for your cash when you dont buy "RS" .... but on the flipside also cool to fork out the extra in the first place and own something more "desirable"

            dave, if ford made a mk1 fiesta RS i would kill 3 birds in one massive stone and not be paying to run 3 cars

                i'm actually collecting series X parts for the fiesta mk1 at the mo andy, which will get it as close to being an RS as possible .... but i dont believe in replica's, too much of a snow for that

                    Know exactly what you mean mate !! Most of my best MK2 cars and memories had no RS badge (well not fitted by Ford anyway ) I Used to love road rallys and It just didnt really matter that much with them ! It was more a case of the car I wanted and the one that worked best, A good friend once told me they dont wave a magic wand over the RS cars at the end of the production line and he was dead right !!!! Follow your heart we only live once

                          Just get the right car. Not bothered in the slightest if its an RS or not tbh. If it's got a nice N/A engine and an LSD, then
