anyone on here know owt about em?
the wifes 1900 tdi polo had a new turbo 5mnth ago and it went into limp mode yesterday ans engine managment light came on. had car code read today and fault said sporadic turbo overboost.
when last turbo was removed the wastegate was stuck open, would that have been due to overboost?
IS there pressure sensors or such like on the turbo to prevent this?
i dont fancy paying out again for another turbo ..
    all reply,s appreciated.
    thanks.
    steve.

turbo overboost on vw's is normally caused by sticking wastegate
especially in diesels as they tend to soot up more causing sticking
if you had a new turbo then it must have a warranty ? if not there
are some products that clean out turbos without removing them
but i dont know how good they are

thanks martin, the place that fitted the turbo seem,s to have closed down, was locked up today any way and the guy next door said no one been there in over a month . i will try that stuff but car has,nt done much mileage since turbo was fitted. garage that code read it have offered to check sensors and vac pipies but not until new year, management light is out now, but i suspect it will be on again very soon.
