Quite a strange sensation, like a vibration running through the structure of the house, lasted about 40 seconds, I thought the gas boiler was about to blow ....

i think this was a small one at 3.9 on the R scale
In Cyrus about 10 years ago we had a 7.4,and it was frightening.We were not allowed back into our rooms for 4 hours or so,and as we walked back down the corridors ,there were cracks in the walls,and plaster on the floors,but the largest one we experienced was about 5 years ago at Te Anue,on the south Island of New Zealand,and that was 7.6 on the R Scale,both worrying,but hey some of you guys will have been involved in worse.
