Not really,it was originally an 1100, that got stolen in 1981,it was found at the bottom of a small local pond in wales, near gj i think. the small pond was being drained as they were having trouble with flooding in the lower field. so after much deliberation they decided to remove the pond.the fish stock were sold off and after two more rainy seasons the bottom field was dry. then in the summer is was noted that local plant growth had slowed so a smaller pond was built near to where they found grums carOriginally posted by vinny View Postoh that was the one, nice car

Just found out that the problem of the pond/small lake was the sub soil naturally breaking down from effects of too much alkaline in the water.this caused the clay base to react, and start to leak
.the new pond is still in use.small fishing parties and things at the weekend.

yes richy, the area is high in alkaline, hence lots of caves / potholes in the area, can be problematic at times

i note the enviroment agency also take regular pH readings these days, no doubt helping the local fishstock to survive and breed, however the Alkaline is not really kind to the local vegetation, hence the high sales of peat based products in the area.Originally posted by richy c View Postno the pond is still in use even with the bad reaction of alkaline based soil's.
