tom has now stripped it and it has a kin great hole in piston 4, he reckons its down to over fueling, it also pressured up the bottom end and blew the dipstick out and covered the engine bay and bonnet in oil, lucky it didn't catch fire!

Probably went lean and melted rather than overfuelled . Could be a blocked injector , dodgy fuel pump and wiring , poor engine set up , overboost caused by stuck wastegate , etc etc . Don't run the new engine until you know for sure as that will also melt .

Piston melted due to det then the turbo boost went through the hole into the crankcase and blew out dipstick etc .
