Bringing a car from USA

Has anyone experience of shipping a car from the USA ?

Are there companies that will collect a car at US address and ship to a UK port ?

Obviously taxes to pay this side based on valuation

Spotted something I would like.

For shipping there are a few places that bring stuff in regular.

http://www.autoshippers.co.uk/ these do a 60 second quote.

My chevy van was bought in by David Boatwright on behalf of the previous owner.

American car imports also do door to door shipping.

I guess it's all down to cost & preference.

Not a T/A unfortunately Mark but have requested a quote from the above, car is in Georgia and needs work , do UK grinders work on American rust ..... although it would be returning home really

There is an MG specialists near me who brought in many MG"s for America over the last 20 years but now dont bother as the cost has gone through the roof due to import taxes and the strengh of the pound meaning the costs before taxes has more than doubled

Only worth it if the car is stupidly cheap and worth a fortune when over

Got my quote back and I am pleasantly shocked, £620 to ship it back !!

I know there is someone else over here interested in the car also so I'll see how the bidding goes on it

May have to let the wife in on the plan at some point
