Nothing has changed brings back memories from the 70's, poor cars like the allegro, etc there's nowt left now Rover has gone. What does Britain make anymore?

was only a matter of time sadly. catch22 no money to design new cars, cars weren't selling because they were old and outdated (all at least 10 year old designes). but execs with sticky fingeres didn't help matters
we are left with Morgan and Noble (as far as i can rember)

But the UK has never been able to sell home bred cars since the big corps started, we in the uk are just damn good at designing & engineering them or redesigning them for motorsport use.
but look at cars like the Radical, Atom, Noble etc..... all specialist cars.
I lost my job in 1999 due to the last Rover closed down, I use to work for a company that made the PAS pumps & Oil pumps for Rover & Range rover.
Like you say we are great at engineering and design but no end product ie; a great British car! at least we are not as bad as America they make some apalling cars :cherry:
