  • About the Bolts Kits that were for sale

I know people asked about the bolt that a certain person was selling, well I have had real problems getting my exhaust manifold to seal of the rear of each port

the bolts are probably fine but the manifold studs are shite would you believe they threaded with the supplied BRASS nut being wound on with a 5" 13mm spanner

so Back to good old ford tomorrow to get real ones, they are fine for inlet gaskets but useless for exhaust !! Warning

Using Brass ones on mine. No probs but not fired up as yet. Sell them for Beetles all day long with no probs reported.

I was referring to Frosticles post which seemed to indicate that use of brass ones in reply to your comment about the crap studs, Brian.

(In any case, I thought the original nuts were copper, weren't they?)
