Son passed is army basic training today.

  • Son passed is army basic training today.

    Hi, Lad passed is basic training this morning......so that was a 550 mile round trip, set of this moring at 5.30 and just got back....quick sleep and then we are off to grenta green in the morning for his wedding..and the wed or thur drive back to london, in a van....to his new house...

    a very special day indeed, bet you were very proud when he was on the square, looks like a very busy weekend, what regt is he in?

      i still remmeber my self passing off the square it was like it was yesterday but it was 23june 1985 god i feel old well done young man now your life begins

        Hi, Yes he was on the square....never seen him looking so clean and tidy He passed out at Bassingbourn Training Regiment and when he goes back, think its at Borden, REME, he his a motor mechanic by trade....

            He as done well, did collage and passed his motor mechanic and then worked for vauxhall and then ford....got bored and just said going to join up...and now passed...its as all happened very fast...

              Bassingbourn, i remember it well, did mine there too, he will enjoy it in the REME, thats short for "Royal Engineers Made Easy" you'll be passing my gaff on the way down, if you need a brew pop in, wish him all the best
