Agreed! This price guide should have been ratified before going to print! This could do nothing but cause confusion in the market place. Perhaps something should go in the mag to say as much.
Si I'm sure you will get plenty of good advice on real escort values here
I reckon we should all gang up and insist they make up the difference between their published price and the price we actually pay for a car.
Also if those prices come to fruition we should demand they compensate us for their actions in driving down classic car values. Total knobs they are, couldn' organise a **** up in a brewery.
Haven`t seen the article as with being out here in Oman i cant get a copy , but judging by what is being posted here it doesn`t make for very good reading.
The individual model registrars for AVO and RSOC would doubtless have a better idea of a "Rough" price guide.
If anyone is looking for a valuation it's best to talk to them, as they keep abreast of auction and sale results (ebay, pistonheads, here, RSOC website AVO website etc etc)
I know of a 1 owner Mk1 Mexico that needs work that was recently valued for £10k, and a Mk2 broad stripe sold for £12k a couple of weeks ago.
How does that compare to the Classic Ford valuation tables ?

All joking aside, there are two twinks in Classic and Sportscar magazine for sale, a white std car which is £65,000 and a yellow arched car with "Ford competition history" for £ 44,995
