  • How much money would it generate????

Just looking at the crazy price some people will pay for a Mk2 Bulkhead pad and wondered what a complete RS2000 Mk2 would make if every component was sold off individually??? Anyone want to take a stab at a value???

Depends on what sort of condition but if you are saying decent standard quality then :

Solid Painted Shell with Boot, Bonnet & Doors : £8000
            Engine & Geearbox : £400
            Suspension & Brakes : £300
            Interior : £1000
            Wheels & Tyres : £400
            Exhaust : £200
            Glass : £150
            Engine Bay Ancillaries : £300
            Carbs and Airbox : £150
            Lights & Indicators : £300
            Rear Bumper : £50
            Brake & Fuel Pipes : £100
            Prop & Axle : £150
            Radiator : £70
            Battery : £50
            Bulkhead Pad: £200

That's £11820 before all the clips, brackets etc. that would need bought plus all the bits I've forgotten about

To do it right I'd say £20000 +
            Cheers

I was pricing using 2nd hand parts, but if you were to go concours standard and include things like 7" Ronals, DCOE's or Throttle Bodies, Big Header Radiator, Performance Engine, uprated suspension/brakes then the price would be as you say Dave £30k+ easily

I've just done it and know the costs involved
                Cheers

My pile of scrap in bits would be worth about £50 at the mo.

Fightening when you start adding up parts prices , mines got £10,000 worth of bits under the bonnet alone !!!!! (no over priced standard Ford shite either)

I wonder if anyone would break a perfectly good clean standard RS2000 mk2 just to get more money than selling it whole ? Imagine the cars paint was a bit tired with a few scraps and dings but not rusty at all and a tidy interior etc . Gotta be tempting as it would be easier too sell it off in pieces rather than waiting around for a buyer . Same things happening with cosworths as they're worth alot more in bits than they are driving about .
