Direct replacements for the M16 caliper but in 4 pot. Couldn't be arsed to mess about drilling the Volvo ones, Also couldn't find any sensibly priced Princess ones. Was quoted £130 each for them!!!!!! Then would have needed a spacer kit at a further £40 and oads as well. Bought the Wilwoods from Burtons at £117 each + £42 for pads. Question is, Are they any good??? Anyone else have some? Comments are welcomed.

I fitted my volvo calipers the other week and i was supprised out how easy it was, just a bit of filling and a bit of fancy pipework and they whent on a treat. Havent yet driven the car so cant comment on the performance yet. Which volvo calipers have you got?

Hi Frosticles,
Have fitted a set of Willwoods to my RS and I must say they are very good but the pad clatter is a real pain in the arse.
If anyone knows how to stop it they could make a fortune.

Sorry to say I have the billet ones. If I had known about this when I bought them I would gone for the forged ones. Never mind you live and learn. The clatter gets a lot better when the brakes are hot so will just have to drive faster! Problem solved?

Wilwoods are known for opening up rather than applying pressure to the disc, especially on track when the caliper/aly gets hot, even on light cars so be careful.
Personally they are no better than some cossie ones.
Tried Wilwood/Princess/2WD Cossie and the small 4 pot APs and the 5200 AP's (315/330mm discs)
Wilwood are equal to 2wd cossie IMHO
Then the Princess
Then the small AP's (13" wheels)
then the 5200.
All with no servo this is i might add.

Hi Kev,
I bought the Dynalite kit from Rally Design and fitted them to my old RS2, I did about 5000 miles with them on the car before I sold it, and never had a problem with them at all, big improvement over the standard M16's.
I'm sure Dingy's right about the AP's, but your going to be running at lot less power than him, and probably not going to see as much track action.
